* sparc: Add kgdb support.David S. Miller2008-04-29
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Current limitations: 1) On SMP single stepping has some fundamental issues, shared with other sw single-step architectures such as mips and arm. 2) On 32-bit sparc we don't support SMP kgdb yet. That requires some reworking of the IPI mechanisms and infrastructure on that platform. Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* [SPARC]: Remove SunOS and Solaris binary support.David S. Miller2008-04-21

* Generic semaphore implementationMatthew Wilcox2008-04-17
| | | | | | | | | | | Semaphores are no longer performance-critical, so a generic C implementation is better for maintainability, debuggability and extensibility. Thanks to Peter Zijlstra for fixing the lockdep warning. Thanks to Harvey Harrison for pointing out that the unlikely() was unnecessary. * [SPARC]: Fix link errors with gcc-4.3David S. Miller2008-03-03
| | | | | | | | | | | | Reported by Adrian Bunk. Just like in changeset a3f9985843b674cbcb58f39fab8416675e7ab842 ("[SPARC64]: Move kernel unaligned trap handlers into assembler file.") we have to move the assembler bits into a seperate asm file because as far as the compiler is concerned these inline bits we're doing in unaligned.c are unreachable. * [PATCH] sort the devres mess outAl Viro2007-02-11
| | | | | | | | | | | | | * Split the implementation-agnostic stuff in separate files. * Make sure that targets using non-default request_irq() pull kernel/irq/devres.o * Introduce new symbols (HAS_IOPORT and HAS_IOMEM) defaulting to positive; allow architectures to turn them off (we needed these symbols anyway for dependencies of quite a few drivers). * protect the ioport-related parts of lib/devres.o with CONFIG_HAS_IOPORT. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
