* ppc64: Use arch/powerpc/platforms/powermac for powermac build.Paul Mackerras2005-10-22
| | | | | | | This switches the ARCH=ppc64 build to use arch/powerpc/platforms/powermac instead of arch/ppc64/kernel/pmac*, and deletes the latter set of files. Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
* ppc64: Simplify secondary CPU startup on powermacsPaul Mackerras2005-10-22
| | | | | | ... for consistency with ppc32, and because this way is neater. Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>

* [PATCH] powerpc: Remove sections use from ppc64 and driversJon Loeliger2005-09-18
| | | | | | | | | | | Here is a new patch that removes all notion of the pmac, prep, chrp and openfirmware initialization sections, and then unifies the sections.h files without those __pmac, etc, sections identifiers cluttering things up. * [PATCH] ppc64: Fix g5 hw timebase syncBenjamin Herrenschmidt2005-05-23
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The hardware sync of the timebase on SMP G5s uses a black magic incantation to the i2c clock chip that was inspired from what Darwin does. However, this was an earlier version of Darwin that was ... buggy ! heh. This causes the latest models to break though when starting SMP, so it's worth fixing. Here's a new version of the incantation based on careful transcription of the said incantations as found in the latest version of apple's temple. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
