* powerpc: Make "intspec" pointers in irq_host->xlate() constRoman Fietze2009-12-09
| | | | | | | | | | Writing a driver using SCLPC on the MPC5200B I detected, that the intspec arrays to map irqs to Linux virq cannot be const, because the mapping and xlate functions only take non const pointers. All those functions do not modify the intspec, so a const pointer could be used. * powerpc: Fixup last users of irq_chip->typenameThomas Gleixner2009-11-23
| | | | | | | | | | | The typename member of struct irq_chip was kept for migration purposes and is obsolete since more than 2 years. Fix up the leftovers. * powerpc: Remove get_irq_desc()Michael Ellerman2009-10-30
| | | | | | | | | | get_irq_desc() is a powerpc-specific version of irq_to_desc(). That is reason enough to remove it, but it also doesn't know about sparse irq_desc support which irq_to_desc() does (when we enable it). * powerpc/pci: Clean up direct access to sysdata on tsi108 platformsKumar Gala2009-05-21
| | | | | | | | | | We shouldn't directly access sysdata to get the pci_controller. Instead use pci_bus_to_host() for this purpose. In the future we might have sysdata be a device_node to match ppc64 and unify the code between ppc32 & ppc64. * powerpc: Fix irq_alloc_host() reference counting and callersMichael Ellerman2008-06-08
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | When I changed irq_alloc_host() to take an of_node (52964f87c64e6c6ea671b5bf3030fb1494090a48: "Add an optional device_node pointer to the irq_host"), I botched the reference counting semantics. Stephen pointed out that it's irq_alloc_host()'s business if it needs to take an additional reference to the device_node, the caller shouldn't need to care. * [POWERPC] Provide a default irq_host match, which matches on an exact of_nodeMichael Ellerman2007-09-13
| | | | | | | | | The most common match semantic is an exact match based on the device node. So provide a default implementation that does this, and hook it up if no match routine is specified. Signed-off-by: Michael Ellerman <michael@ellerman.id.au> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
* [POWERPC] Add an optional device_node pointer to the irq_hostMichael Ellerman2007-09-13
| | | | | | | | | | The majority of irq_host implementations (3 out of 4) are associated with a device_node, and need to stash it somewhere. Rather than having it somewhere different for each host, add an optional device_node pointer to the irq_host structure. * [POWERPC] Merge ppc32 and ppc64 pcibios_alloc_controller() prototypesKumar Gala2007-06-29
| | | | | | | Make the ppc32 pcibios_alloc_controller take a device node to match the ppc64 prototypes and have it set arch_data. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
* [POWERPC] Pass the pci_controller into pci_exclude_deviceKumar Gala2007-06-29
| | | | | | | | | | There are times that we need to know which controller we are on to decide how to exclude devices properly. We now pass the pci_controller that we are going to use down to the pci_exclude_device function. This will greatly simplify being able to exclude the PHBs in multiple controller setups. * [POWERPC] Remove set_cfg_type for PCI indirect users that don't need itKumar Gala2007-06-29
| | | | | | | | | | | The Freescale and Marvell PCI controllers dont require explicit setting for type 1 config cycles. They handle producing them by implicitly looking at the bus, devfn. The TSI108 and 52xx don't use the generic PCI indirect code and thus don't bother with set_cfg_type. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
