* Fix node_start/end_pfn() definition for mm/page_cgroup.cKAMEZAWA Hiroyuki2011-06-27
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | commit 21a3c96 uses node_start/end_pfn(nid) for detection start/end of nodes. But, it's not defined in linux/mmzone.h but defined in /arch/???/include/mmzone.h which is included only under CONFIG_NEED_MULTIPLE_NODES=y. Then, we see mm/page_cgroup.c: In function 'page_cgroup_init': mm/page_cgroup.c:308: error: implicit declaration of function 'node_start_pfn' mm/page_cgroup.c:309: error: implicit declaration of function 'node_end_pfn' So, fixiing page_cgroup.c is an idea... But node_start_pfn()/node_end_pfn() is a very generic macro and should be implemented in the same manner for all archs. (m32r has different implementation...) This patch removes definitions of node_start/end_pfn() in each archs and defines a unified one in linux/mmzone.h. It's not under CONFIG_NEED_MULTIPLE_NODES, now. A result of macro expansion is here (mm/page_cgroup.c) for !NUMA start_pfn = ((&contig_page_data)->node_start_pfn); end_pfn = ({ pg_data_t *__pgdat = (&contig_page_data); __pgdat->node_start_pfn + __pgdat->node_spanned_pages;}); for NUMA (x86-64) start_pfn = ((node_data[nid])->node_start_pfn); end_pfn = ({ pg_data_t *__pgdat = (node_data[nid]); __pgdat->node_start_pfn + __pgdat->node_spanned_pages;}); Changelog: - fixed to avoid using "nid" twice in node_end_pfn() macro. * powerpc: Add memory_hotplug_max()Nishanth Aravamudan2010-11-28
| | | | | | | | | | Add a function to get the maximum address that can be hotplug added. This is needed to calculate the size of the tce table needed to cover all memory in 1:1 mode. * powerpc/cpumask: Convert NUMA code to new cpumask APIAnton Blanchard2010-05-06
| | | | | | | | | Convert NUMA code to new cpumask API. We shift the node to cpumask setup code until after we complete bootmem allocation so we can dynamically allocate the cpumasks. Signed-off-by: Anton Blanchard <anton@samba.org> Signed-off-by: Benjamin Herrenschmidt <benh@kernel.crashing.org>
* numa, cpumask: move numa_node_id default implementation to topology.h, fixStephen Rothwell2009-03-19
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Impact: build fix for powerpc and sparc Today's linux-next build (powerpc allyesconfig) failed like this: > In file included from include/linux/mmzone.h:776, > from include/linux/gfp.h:5, > from include/linux/kmod.h:23, > from include/linux/module.h:14, > from init/version.c:11: > arch/powerpc/include/asm/mmzone.h:32: error: expected '=', ',', ';', 'asm' or '__attribute__' before 'numa_cpumask_lookup_table' Caused by commit 082edb7bf443eb8eda15b482d16ad9dd8137ad24 ("numa, cpumask: move numa_node_id default implementation to topology.h") from the cpus4096 tree which removed the include of linux/topology.h from linux/mmzone.h. * powerpc: Move include files to arch/powerpc/include/asmStephen Rothwell2008-08-03
from include/asm-powerpc. This is the result of a mkdir arch/powerpc/include/asm git mv include/asm-powerpc/* arch/powerpc/include/asm Followed by a few documentation/comment fixups and a couple of places where <asm-powepc/...> was being used explicitly. Of the latter only one was outside the arch code and it is a driver only built for powerpc. Signed-off-by: Stephen Rothwell <sfr@canb.auug.org.au> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
