* m68k: merge m68k and m68knommu arch directoriesGreg Ungerer2011-03-25
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | There is a lot of common code that could be shared between the m68k and m68knommu arch branches. It makes sense to merge the two branches into a single directory structure so that we can more easily share that common code. This is a brute force merge, based on a script from Stephen King <sfking@fdwdc.com>, which was originally written by Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de>. > The script was inspired by the script Sam Ravnborg used to merge the > includes from m68knommu. For those files common to both arches but > differing in content, the m68k version of the file is renamed to > <file>_mm.<ext> and the m68knommu version of the file is moved into the > corresponding m68k directory and renamed <file>_no.<ext> and a small > wrapper file <file>.<ext> is used to select between the two version. Files > that are common to both but don't differ are removed from the m68knommu > tree and files and directories that are unique to the m68knommu tree are > moved to the m68k tree. Finally, the arch/m68knommu tree is removed. > > To select between the the versions of the files, the wrapper uses > > #ifdef CONFIG_MMU > #include <file>_mm.<ext> > #else > #include <file>_no.<ext> > #endif On top of this file merge I have done a simplistic merge of m68k and m68knommu Kconfig, which primarily attempts to keep existing options and menus in place. Other than a handful of options being moved it produces identical .config outputs on m68k and m68knommu targets I tested it on. With this in place there is now quite a bit of scope for merge cleanups in future patches. Signed-off-by: Greg Ungerer <gerg@uclinux.org>
* m68knommu: mask of vector bits in exception word properlyGreg Ungerer2010-10-20
| | | | | | | | | | | | The vector field of the processors exception frame actually contains both the vector exception number and fault status field bits. The exception processing code was not correctly masking out the fault status field bits before switching on the vector number. The default case was catching the bad check, but we are reporting the wrong kind of exception in some cases. * arch/m68knommu: Removing dead M68KFPU_EMU config optionChristian Dietrich2010-10-20
| | | | | | | | | CONFIG_M68KFPU_EMU doesn't exist in Kconfig, therefore removing all references to it from the source. This Flags seems to exist only on m68k with mmu, and this dead blocks are copy paste. * Remove multiple KERN_ prefixes from printk formatsJoe Perches2009-07-08
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Commit 5fd29d6ccbc98884569d6f3105aeca70858b3e0f ("printk: clean up handling of log-levels and newlines") changed printk semantics. printk lines with multiple KERN_<level> prefixes are no longer emitted as before the patch. <level> is now included in the output on each additional use. Remove all uses of multiple KERN_<level>s in formats. Signed-off-by: Joe Perches <joe@perches.com> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>
* ptrace: remove PT_DTRACE from m68k, m68knommuOleg Nesterov2009-06-18
| | | | | | | | | | | | m68k sets PT_DTRACE in trap_c() but never uses it. * Remove asm/a.out.h files for all architectures without a.out support.Adrian Bunk2008-09-06
| | | | | | | | | | This patch also includes the required removal of (unused) inclusion of <asm/a.out.h> <linux/a.out.h>'s in the arch/ code for these architectures. * m68knommu: m68knommu: add old stack trace methodSebastian Siewior2008-07-23
| | | | | | | | The old method is used when frame pointers are not available. Also fix formating with CONFIG_KALLSYMS=n which eliminates \n. Signed-off-by: Sebastian Siewior <bigeasy@linutronix.de> Signed-off-by: Greg Ungerer <gerg@uclinux.org>
* m68knommu: add pretty back straceSebastian Siewior2008-05-01
| | | | | | | | | | | | With this patch and CONFIG_FRAME_POINTER=y CONFIG_KALLSYMS=y The backtrace shows resolved function names and their numeric address. * m68knommu: start dump from exception stackGreg Ungerer2007-07-19
| | | | | | | | | | | In die_if_kernel() start the stack dump at the exception-time SP, not at the SP with all the saved registers; the stack below exception-time sp contains only exception-saved values and is already printed in details just before. * Report that kernel is tainted if there was an OOPSPavel Emelianov2007-07-17
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | If the kernel OOPSed or BUGed then it probably should be considered as tainted. Thus, all subsequent OOPSes and SysRq dumps will report the tainted kernel. This saves a lot of time explaining oddities in the calltraces. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
