* ARM: OMAP: irqs: Fix NR_IRQS value to handle PRCM interruptsCousson, Benoit2012-02-28
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The following commit: 2f31b51659c2d8315ea2888ba5b93076febe672b Author: Tero Kristo <t-kristo@ti.com> Date: Fri Dec 16 14:37:00 2011 -0700 ARM: OMAP4: PRM: use PRCM interrupt handler introduced the PRCM interrupt handler and thus the need for 64 more interrupts. Since SPARSE_IRQ is still not fully functional on OMAP, the NR_IRQS needs to be updated to avoid the failure that happen during irq_alloc_descs call inside the PRCM driver: [ 0.208221] PRCM: failed to allocate irq descs: -12 Later the mux framework is then unable to request an IRQ from the PRCM interrupt handler. [ 1.802795] mux: Failed to setup hwmod io irq -22 Fix that by adding 64 more interrupts for OMAP2PLUS config. * mfd: twl6040: Add initial supportMisael Lopez Cruz2011-07-04
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | TWL6040 IC provides analog high-end audio codec functions for handset applications. It contains several audio analog inputs and outputs as well as vibrator support. It's connected to the host processor via PDM interface for audio data communication. The audio modules are controlled by internal registers that can be accessed by I2C and PDM interface. TWL6040 MFD will be registered as a child of TWL-CORE, and will have two children of its own: twl6040-codec and twl6040-vibra. This driver is based on TWL4030 and WM8350 MFD drivers. * omap: Use separate init_irq functions to avoid cpu_is_omap tests earlyTony Lindgren2011-06-16
| | | | | | | | | | | | | This allows us to remove cpu_is_omap calls from init_irq functions. There should not be any need for cpu_is_omap calls as at this point. During the timer init we only care about SoC generation, and not about subrevisions. The main reason for the patch is that we want to initialize only minimal omap specific code from the init_early call. * ARM: OMAP2+: Fix warnings for GPMC interruptBalaji T K2011-03-18
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Commit db97eb7dfe13f6c04f0a0e77c32e2691f563ab8b (omap: gpmc: enable irq mode in gpmc) enabled interrupts for GPMC (General Purpose Memory Controller). However, looks like this patch only works on omap3. Fix the issues to avoid warnings on omap4 during the boot. GPMC: number of chip select is 8, CS0 to CS7. One less IRQ allocated throws below warning at boot: [ 0.429290] Trying to install type control for IRQ409 [ 0.429290] Trying to set irq flags for IRQ409 Resolve following warning messages in boot when irq chip is not set: [ 0.429229] Trying to install interrupt handler for IRQ402 [ 0.429229] Trying to install interrupt handler for IRQ403 [ 0.429229] Trying to install interrupt handler for IRQ404 [ 0.429260] Trying to install interrupt handler for IRQ405 [ 0.429260] Trying to install interrupt handler for IRQ406 [ 0.429260] Trying to install interrupt handler for IRQ407 [ 0.429290] Trying to install interrupt handler for IRQ408 Resolve following warning in OMAP4: [ 0.429290] gpmc: irq-20 could not claim: err -22 Signed-off-by: Balaji T K <balajitk@ti.com> [tony@atomide.com: combined patches into one, updated comments] Signed-off-by: Tony Lindgren <tony@atomide.com>

* omap: add missing FIQ_START definition required forarch/arm/kernel/fiq.c ↵Janusz Krzysztofik2010-05-05
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | compilation Several ARM platforms/machines that use FIQ define their value of FIQ_START. Since FIQ is not implemented for OMAP yet, this definition is missing from OMAP header files. Put an arbitrary value for FIQ_START into plat/irqs.h for OMAP. Even if not used by the FIQ handler for Amstrad Delta, this is required for successfull compilation of arch/arm/plat-omap/fiq.c that provides several usefull functions. | | | | | | | | | | | | OMAP interrupt controller goes to unknown state when there is right combination of l3,l4 sleep/wake-up transitions, l4 autoidle in interrupt controller and some interrupt. When this happens, interrupts are not delivered to ARM anymore and ARM will remain in WFI (wait for interrupt) until interrupt controller is forced to wake-up (i.e. lauterbach).
