* ARM: 6297/1: move U300 timer to dynamic clock lookupLinus Walleij2010-08-10
| | | | | | | | | | This moves the U300 timer code to look up its clock rate from the clock framework as is apropriate and also switches it over to use the generic code for *calc_mult_shift() on clock source and clock event. * ARM: 6296/1: clock U300 intcon and timer properlyLinus Walleij2010-08-10
| | | | | | | | | This removes the quirks to clock the U300 VIC and timer by custom hooks and moves the control out to the clock framework where it belongs. This is possible now that clocks are available early. Signed-off-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@stericsson.com> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* ARM: 5704/1: U300 sched_clock implementation v2Linus Walleij2009-09-18
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This adds the long debated sched_clock() override for the weak in-kernel jiffybased sched_clock(). The implementation is more or less identical to the one used in arch/arm/plat-omap/common.c and at last attempt to merge this the merge was postponed at the request of Peter Zijlstra due to pending discussions regarding generalized clocksource-based sched_clock() implementations by adding a flag to the clocksource. However that discussion ended up with the generic code needing to be rewritten and Paul Mundt see no reason not to proceed with this for the time being as it can be easily converted once the generic code is in place. * [ARM] 5473/1: U300 core machine supportLinus Walleij2009-04-28
This adds core support for the ST-Ericsson U300 series platforms: U300, U330, U335 and U365. Supports memory mappings, interrupt controller, system timer (clocksource and clockevents), and binds to the existing drivers for the PrimeCells used in this design: PL190 (VIC), PL180 (MMC/SD host) and PL011 (UART). This is intented to serve as starting point for our mainling work, more patches to follow.
