* ARM: tegra: Convert PMC to a driverThierry Reding2014-07-17
| | | | | | | | This commit converts the PMC support code to a platform driver. Because the boot process needs to call into this driver very early, also set up a minimal environment via an early initcall. Signed-off-by: Thierry Reding <treding@nvidia.com>
* ARM: tegra: Use a function to get the chip IDThierry Reding2014-07-17
| | | | | | | | | | | Instead of using a simple variable access to get at the Tegra chip ID, use a function so that we can run additional code. This can be used to determine where the chip ID is being accessed without being available. That in turn will be handy for resolving boot sequence dependencies in order to convert more code to regular initcalls rather than a sequence fixed by Tegra SoC setup code. Signed-off-by: Thierry Reding <treding@nvidia.com>
* ARM: tegra: Sort includes alphabeticallyThierry Reding2014-07-17
| | | | | | | | If these aren't sorted alphabetically, then the logical choice is to append new ones, however that creates a lot of potential for conflicts because every change will then add new includes in the same location. Signed-off-by: Thierry Reding <treding@nvidia.com>
* ARM: tegra: Move includes to include/soc/tegraThierry Reding2014-07-17
| | | | | | | In order to not clutter the include/linux directory with SoC specific headers, move the Tegra-specific headers out into a separate directory. Signed-off-by: Thierry Reding <treding@nvidia.com>
* ARM: tegra: Export I/O rail functionsThierry Reding2014-02-25
| | | | | | | | The I/O rail functions can be used by drivers that are buildable as modules. Exporting the functions makes sure that they're available. Signed-off-by: Thierry Reding <treding@nvidia.com> Signed-off-by: Stephen Warren <swarren@nvidia.com>
* ARM: tegra: Add IO rail supportThierry Reding2013-12-16
| | | | | | | | Add tegra_io_rail_power_off() and tegra_io_rail_power_on() functions to put IO rails into or out of deep powerdown mode, respectively. Signed-off-by: Thierry Reding <treding@nvidia.com> Signed-off-by: Stephen Warren <swarren@nvidia.com>
* ARM: tegra: Special-case the 3D clamps on Tegra124Thierry Reding2013-12-16
| | | | | | | | | A separate register is used to remove the clamps for the GPU on Tegra124. In order to be able to use the same API, special-case this particular partition. Signed-off-by: Thierry Reding <treding@nvidia.com> Signed-off-by: Stephen Warren <swarren@nvidia.com>
* ARM: tegra: Add Tegra124 powergate supportThierry Reding2013-12-16
| | | | | | | | | Three new gates have been added for Tegra124: SOR, VIC and IRAM. In addition, PCIe and SATA gates are again supported, like on Tegra20 and Tegra30. Signed-off-by: Thierry Reding <treding@nvidia.com> Signed-off-by: Stephen Warren <swarren@nvidia.com>
* ARM: tegra: Export tegra_powergate_remove_clamping()Thierry Reding2013-12-16
| | | | | | | | | Drivers can use the tegra_powergate_remove_clamping() API during initialization. In order to allow such drivers to be built as modules, export the symbol. Signed-off-by: Thierry Reding <treding@nvidia.com> Signed-off-by: Stephen Warren <swarren@nvidia.com>
* ARM: tegra: Export tegra_powergate_power_off()Thierry Reding2013-12-16
| | | | | | | | This function can be used by drivers, which in turn may be built as modules. Export the symbol so it is available to modules. Signed-off-by: Thierry Reding <treding@nvidia.com> Signed-off-by: Stephen Warren <swarren@nvidia.com>
* ARM: tegra: Rename cpu0 powergate to crailThierry Reding2013-12-16
| | | | | | | This matches the name of the powergate as listed in the TRM. Signed-off-by: Thierry Reding <treding@nvidia.com> Signed-off-by: Stephen Warren <swarren@nvidia.com>
* ARM: tegra: Fix some whitespace odditiesThierry Reding2013-12-16
| | | | | | | | Some of the powergate code uses unusual spacing around == and has a tab instead of a space before an opening parenthesis. Signed-off-by: Thierry Reding <treding@nvidia.com> Signed-off-by: Stephen Warren <swarren@nvidia.com>
* ARM: tegra: pass reset to tegra_powergate_sequence_power_up()Stephen Warren2013-12-11
| | | | | | | | | | | | Tegra's clock driver now provides an implementation of the common reset API (include/linux/reset.h). Use this instead of the old Tegra- specific API; that will soon be removed. * ARM: tegra: Add Tegra114 powergate supportThierry Reding2013-10-18
| | | | | | | | | Extend the list of power gates found on Tegra114. Note that there are now holes in the list, so perhaps a simple array is no longer the best data structure to represent it. Signed-off-by: Thierry Reding <treding@nvidia.com> Signed-off-by: Stephen Warren <swarren@nvidia.com>
* ARM: tegra: Constify list of CPU domainsThierry Reding2013-10-18
| | | | | | | | There's no need to modify these at runtime, it is static data and never needs to change. Signed-off-by: Thierry Reding <treding@nvidia.com> Signed-off-by: Stephen Warren <swarren@nvidia.com>

The ones converted in this branch are: - bcm2835 - cns3xxx - sirf - nomadik - msx - spear - tegra - ux500 We're getting close to having most of them converted! One of the larger platforms remaining is Samsung Exynos, and there are a bunch of supporting patches in this merge window for it. There was a patch in this branch to a early version of multiplatform conversion, but it ended up being reverted due to need of more bake time. The revert commit is part of the branch since it would have required rebasing multiple dependent branches and they were stable by then" * tag 'multiplatform-for-linus' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc: (70 commits) mmc: sdhci-s3c: Fix operation on non-single image Samsung platforms clocksource: nomadik-mtu: fix up clocksource/timer Revert "ARM: exynos: enable multiplatform support" ARM: SPEAr13xx: Fix typo "ARCH_HAVE_CPUFREQ" ARM: exynos: enable multiplatform support rtc: s3c: make header file local mtd: onenand/samsung: make regs-onenand.h file local thermal/exynos: remove unnecessary header inclusions mmc: sdhci-s3c: remove platform dependencies ARM: samsung: move mfc device definition to s5p-dev-mfc.c ARM: exynos: move debug-macro.S to include/debug/ ARM: exynos: prepare for sparse IRQ ARM: exynos: introduce EXYNOS_ATAGS symbol ARM: tegra: build assembly files with -march=armv7-a ARM: Push selects for TWD/SCU into machine entries ARM: ux500: build hotplug.o for ARMv7-a ARM: ux500: move to multiplatform ARM: ux500: make remaining headers local ARM: ux500: make irqs.h local to platform ARM: ux500: get rid of <mach/[hardware|db8500-regs].h> ...
| * ARM: tegra: move <mach/powergate.h> to <linux/tegra-powergate.h>Stephen Warren2013-03-29
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This is required so that code such as Tegra's PCIe and clock drivers can still access this header file once Tegra is converted to multiplatform, and <mach/> no longer exists. Signed-off-by: Stephen Warren <swarren@nvidia.com>
* | ARM: tegra: powergate: Don't error out if new state == old stateThierry Reding2013-03-29
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Don't treat it as an error if a partition is already in the same power state when a user wants to power it on or off. This allows code to proceed if no state change is required. Signed-off-by: Thierry Reding <thierry.reding@avionic-design.de> Signed-off-by: Stephen Warren <swarren@nvidia.com>
* | ARM: tegra: Export tegra_powergate_sequence_power_up()Thierry Reding2013-03-29
|/ | | | | | | | | This function can be used by drivers to enable power to the hardware blocks that they drive. Most of the drivers can be built as a module and therefore require this function to be exported. * ARM: tegra: migrate to new clock codePrashant Gaikwad2013-01-28
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Migrate Tegra clock support to drivers/clk/tegra, this involves moving: 1. definition of tegra_cpu_car_ops to clk.c 2. definition of reset functions to clk-peripheral.c 3. change parent of cpu clock. 4. Remove legacy clock initialization. 5. Initialize clocks using DT. 6. Remove all instance of mach/clk.h Signed-off-by: Prashant Gaikwad <pgaikwad@nvidia.com> [swarren: use to_clk_periph_gate().] Signed-off-by: Stephen Warren <swarren@nvidia.com>
* ARM: tegra: move iomap.h to mach-tegraStephen Warren2012-11-05
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Nothing outside mach-tegra uses this file, so there's no need for it to be in <mach/>. Since uncompress.h and debug-macro.S remain in include/mach, they need to include "../../iomap.h" becaue of this change. uncompress.h will soon be deleted in later multi-platform/single-zImage patches. debug-macro.S will need to continue to include this header using an explicit relative path, to avoid duplicating the physical->virtual address mapping that iomap.h dictates. * ARM: tegra: fix debugfs entry for Tegra30Peter De Schrijver2012-09-06
| | | | | | | | Tegra30 has more powerdomains than Tegra20. The debugfs code did not take this into account. Signed-off-by: Peter De Schrijver <pdeschrijver@nvidia.com> Signed-off-by: Stephen Warren <swarren@nvidia.com>
* ARM: tegra: fix return value for debugfs initPeter De Schrijver2012-09-06
| | | | | | | | tegra_powergate_debugfs_init() always returns -ENOMEM. It shouldn't do that when registering the debugfs entry succeeded. Signed-off-by: Peter De Schrijver <pdeschrijver@nvidia.com> Signed-off-by: Stephen Warren <swarren@nvidia.com>
