* ARM: Realview & Versatile: Fix i2c_board_info definitionsRussell King2009-07-18
| | | | | | | | | | Fix i2c_board_info definitions - we were defining the 'type' field of these structures twice since the first argument of I2C_BOARD_INFO sets this field. Move the second definition into I2C_BOARD_INFO(). Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk> Acked-by: Jean Delvare <khali@linux-fr.org> Acked-by: Ben Dooks <ben-linux@fluff.org>

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | The IRQ_* macros need to be made visible via the mach/irqs.h file but without the additional macros defined in the board-*.h files. Signed-off-by: Catalin Marinas <catalin.marinas@arm.com>
| * RealView: Toggle one LED per CPUCatalin Marinas2009-05-30
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | If CONFIG_LEDS is enabled, it makes more sense to toggle one LED per CPU in SMP systems rather than a single LED for all the CPUs. Signed-off-by: Catalin Marinas <catalin.marinas@arm.com>
| * RealView: Allow access to the secure flash memory block on PB1176Catalin Marinas2009-05-30
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch adds a Kconfig option for specifying whether Linux will only be run in secure mode on the RealView PB1176 platform. Enabling it will make the secure flash memory block (64MB @ 0x3c000000) available to Linux. Signed-off-by: Catalin Marinas <catalin.marinas@arm.com>

* [ARM] realview: fix broadcast tick supportRussell King2009-05-17
| | | | | | | | | | Having discussed broadcast tick support with Thomas Glexiner, the broadcast tick devices should be registered with a higher rating than the global tick device, and it should have the ONESHOT and PERIODIC feature flags set. * [ARM] realview: remove useless smp_cross_call_done()Russell King2009-05-17
| | | | | | | | smp_cross_call_done() is a no-op for MPCore, and since it's only used by platform code, there's no point in having it unless it's doing something. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] smp: fix cpumask usage in ARM SMP codeRussell King2009-05-17

|/ | | | | | | | | | Set the "mult" to finite value in the local_timer_setup in case of CONFIG_LOCAL_TIMERS not enabled. * [ARM] pass reboot command line to arch_reset()Russell King2009-03-19
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | OMAP wishes to pass state to the boot loader upon reboot in order to instruct it whether to wait for USB-based reflashing or not. There is already a facility to do this via the reboot() syscall, except we ignore the string passed to machine_restart(). This patch fixes things to pass this string to arch_reset(). This means that we keep the reboot mode limited to telling the kernel _how_ to perform the reboot which should be independent of what we request the boot loader to do. | * cpumask: convert struct clock_event_device to cpumask pointers.Rusty Russell2008-12-13
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Impact: change calling convention of existing clock_event APIs struct clock_event_timer's cpumask field gets changed to take pointer, as does the ->broadcast function. | * | RealView: Allow PHYS_OFFSET at 0x70000000Catalin Marinas2008-12-01
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | RealView boards like PB11MPCore have 512MB of RAM available contiguously at 0x70000000. Half of the memory is mirrored at 0x00000000 for backwards compatibility. This patch adds the CONFIG_REALVIEW_HIGH_PHYS_OFFSET option option to change the physical base address so that the full amount of RAM is available to Linux. Note that the EB board has 256MB of RAM also mirrored at 0x70000000, the only board without this feature being PB1176. Signed-off-by: Catalin Marinas <catalin.marinas@arm.com>
| * | RealView: Make more vmalloc space by changing IO_ADDRESSCatalin Marinas2008-11-10
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Since boards like PB11MPCore have 512MB of RAM and 128MB of flash, the virtual space is short on vmalloc memory and mapping the flash fails. This patch changes the IO_ADDRESS so that static mappings start at 0xfc000000 and moves the PCI virtual addresses higher up. The new VMALLOC_END is set to 0xf8000000 (512MB higher than the old value). Signed-off-by: Catalin Marinas <catalin.marinas@arm.com>
| * | RealView: Add debug-macro.S support for the PB1176 platformCatalin Marinas2008-11-10
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The UART0 address is different on PB1176 from EB or PB11MPCore. This patch adds the necessary #ifdef's to this file. The disadvantage is that enabling CONFIG_DEBUG_LL will work properly on PB1176 if only this platform is enabled. Signed-off-by: Catalin Marinas <catalin.marinas@arm.com>

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | When ISA_DMA_API is unset, we're not implementing the ISA DMA API, so there's no point in publishing the prototypes via asm/dma.h, nor including the machine dependent parts of that API. This allows us to remove a lot of mach/dma.h files which don't contain any useful code. Unfortunately though, some platforms put their own private non-ISA definitions into mach/dma.h, so we leave these behind and fix the appropriate #include statments. | | |/ | |/| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Let's provide an overridable default instead of having every machine class define __virt_to_bus and __bus_to_virt to the same thing. What most platforms are using is bus_addr == phys_addr so such is the default. One exception is ebsa110 which has no DMA what so ever, so the actual definition is not important except only for proper compilation. Also added a comment about the special footbridge bus translation. Let's also remove comments alluding to set_dma_addr which is not (and should not) be commonly used.
