* imx/mx3: rename clock.c and iomux.c to {clock,iomux}-imx31.cUwe Kleine-König2010-01-05
| | | | | | | | | | | | These files are only used on imx31. This makes the name consistent with the imx35 files. * imx/mach-mx3: use constants namespaced by the corresponding SOC (easy part)Uwe Kleine-König2010-01-05
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This just leaves cpu.c, devices.c and mm.c to clean up. As these files are used on more than one SOC they need some more work. * ARM: MX3: fix CPU revision number detectionDaniel Mack2009-11-23
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The macro mx31_revision() used to take the global variable system_rev to determine the CPU revision number. However, this number is expected to be set by the bootloader and is usually zero (at least on my MX31 based boards here). More than that, it is usually taken to identify the board's revision, not the CPU's. Fix that by reading the the CPU's SREV register instead. Right now, mx31_read_cpu_rev() is called from mx31_clocks_init() which is admittedly not a good place for it. However, we need to enable the IIM clock first, and the clock code also has conditional code that depends on mx31_revision() returning the right thing. * MXC: fix reset for mx31, mx35 and mx27 SoCsValentin Longchamp2009-10-13
| | | | | | | | The clock name for the watchdog devices was not set consistently with mx21 on these platforms, resulting in the reset not to work. Signed-off-by: Valentin Longchamp <valentin.longchamp@epfl.ch> Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>

| * mx31: correct csi_clk parent (v2)Valentin Longchamp2009-05-28
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | changes since v1: we now check if the parent configuration bit was changed since reset and change the parent when needed. csi_clk parent was defined with ahb_clk. However, according to the m31 reference manual, it should be serial_pll_clk. Guennadi always used a 20 MHz clock that was by chance changed to a 45 MHz that fits in the mt9t031 spec. Now the clocks are computed and output correctly (measured on oscillo). Signed-off-by: Valentin Longchamp <valentin.longchamp@epfl.ch> Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>

| * MXC: rename mxc_map_io to architecture specific versionsSascha Hauer2009-05-07
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This allows us to have more mapping functions for more than one i.MX architecture in the kernel. As this is the earliest board specific hook we have, also use it to set the cpu type. Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
* | mx[23]: don't put clock lookups in __initdataRabin Vincent2009-06-03
|/ | | | | | | | | Remove the __initdata annotation for the clock lookups, since they will be needed when loading modules which use clk_get(). Tested-by: Agustín Ferrín Pozuelo <gatoguan-os@yahoo.com> Signed-off-by: Rabin Vincent <rabin@rab.in> Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
* V4L/DVB (11349): mx3-camera: adapt the clock definition and the driver to ↵Guennadi Liakhovetski2009-04-06
| | | | | | | | | | | | | the new clock naming With the i.MX31 transition to clkdev clock names have changed, but mistakenly the "mx3-camera.0" has been registered with a non-NULL connection ID, which is not necessary, since this is the only clock, used by the capture interface driver. Fix the clock definition and the driver to use NULL as a connection ID. * MX31 clkdev supportSascha Hauer2009-03-13
| | | | | | | This patch adds clkdev support for i.MX31. This is done in a similar way done previously for i.MX27 Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
* [ARM] MXC: add cpu_is_ macrosSascha Hauer2009-03-13
| | | | | | | | | | We had hardcoded cpu_is_ macros for mxc architectures till now. As we want to run the same kernel on i.MX31 and i.MX35 this patch adds cpu_is_ macros which expand to 0 or 1 if only one architecture is compiled in and only check for the cpu type if more than one architecture is compiled in. Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
* [ARM] MXC: remove _clk suffix from clock namesSascha Hauer2009-03-13
| | | | | | | | | The context makes it clear already that these are clocks, so there's no need for such a suffix. This patch only changes the clocks actually used in the tree. The remaining clocks are renamed in the subsequent architecture specific patches. Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
* [ARM] MXC: rework timer/clock initialisationSascha Hauer2009-03-13
| | | | | | | | | - rename mxc_clocks_init to architecture specific versions. This allows us to have more than one architecture compiled in. - call mxc_timer_init from clock initialisation instead from board code Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
* [ARM] MXC: Use a single function for decoding a PLLSascha Hauer2009-03-13
| | | | | | | | | | | | We had 3 versions of this function in clock support for MX1/2/3 Use a single one instead. I picked the one from the MX3 as it seems to calculate more accurate as the other ones. Also, on MX27 and MX31 mfn can be negative, this hasn't been handled correctly on MX27 since now. This patch has been tested on MX27 and MX31 and produces the same clock frequencies for me. Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
* [ARM] MXC: do not include mach/hardware.h from mach/memory.hSascha Hauer2008-12-18
| | | | | | Instead of including other header files, define PHYS_OFFSET directly Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
* [ARM] Move include/asm-arm/arch-* to arch/arm/*/include/machRussell King2008-08-07
| | | | | | This just leaves include/asm-arm/plat-* to deal with. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
