* [PATCH] ARM: Netwinder ds1620 driver needs an export to be built as moduleWoody Suwalski2006-01-08
| | | | | | | | | | ds1620 module is using gpio_read symbol, so works only if "built-in" symbol needs to be exported from the kernel image Signed-off-by: Woody Suwalski <woodys@xandros.com> Cc: Russell King <rmk@arm.linux.org.uk> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@osdl.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
* [ARM] Cleanup ARM includesRussell King2006-01-03
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | arch/arm/kernel/entry-armv.S has contained a comment suggesting that asm/hardware.h and asm/arch/irqs.h should be moved into the asm/arch/entry-macro.S include. So move the includes to these two files as required. Add missing includes (asm/hardware.h, asm/io.h) to asm/arch/system.h includes which use those facilities, and remove asm/io.h from kernel/process.c. Remove other unnecessary includes from arch/arm/kernel, arch/arm/mm and arch/arm/mach-footbridge. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] Re-fix footbridgeRussell King2005-11-13
| | | | | | That's __phys_to_pfn, not __phy_to_pfn. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] Fix Footbridge-based machinesRussell King2005-11-12
| | | | | | | Unfortunately, all these machines got broken when the PFN memory setup changes happened. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] 2998/1: Replace map_desc.physical with map_desc.pfn: FootbridgeDeepak Saxena2005-10-28
| | | | | | | | | Patch from Deepak Saxena Footbridge map_desc.pfn conversion Signed-off-by: Deepak Saxena <dsaxena@plexity.net> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [SERIAL] Use an enum for serial8250 platform device IDsRussell King2005-09-08
| | | | | | | | Rather than hard-coding the platform device IDs, enumerate them. We don't particularly care about the actual ID we get, just as long as they're unique. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [PATCH] Kconfig fix (BLK_DEV_FD dependencies)viro@ZenIV.linux.org.uk2005-09-07
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Sanitized and fixed floppy dependencies: split the messy dependencies for BLK_DEV_FD by introducing a new symbol (ARCH_MAY_HAVE_PC_FDC), making BLK_DEV_FD depend on that one and taking declarations of ARCH_MAY_HAVE_PC_FDC to arch/*/Kconfig. While we are at it, fixed several obvious cases when BLK_DEV_FD should have been excluded (architectures lacking asm/floppy.h are *not* going to have floppy.c compile, let alone work). If you can come up with better name for that ("this architecture might have working PC-compatible floppy disk controller"), you are more than welcome - just s/ARCH_MAY_HAVE_PC_FDC/your_prefered_name/g in the patch below... * [ARM] Wrap calls to descriptor handlersRussell King2005-09-04
| | | | | | | | | | This is part of Thomas Gleixner's generic IRQ patch, which converts ARM to use the generic IRQ subsystem. Here, we wrap calls to desc->handler() in an inline function, desc_handle_irq(). This reduces the size of Thomas' patch since the changes become more localised. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [PATCH] ARM: Remove machine description macrosRussell King2005-07-03
| | | | | | | Remove the pointless machine description macros, favouring C99 initialisers instead. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [PATCH] ARM: Add SA_TIMER flag to timer interruptsRussell King2005-06-26
| | | | | | | VST needs to know which timer handler is for the timer interrupt. Mark all timer interrupts with the SA_TIMER flag. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [PATCH] ARM: select PCI, ISA and ISA_DMARussell King2005-05-05
| | | | | | | Rather than using a long "depends on..." and "default y" lines for these options, use select instead. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [PATCH] ARM: footbridge rtc initRussell King2005-04-17
| | | | | | | | | The footbridge ISA RTC was being initialised before we had setup the kernel timer. This caused a divide by zero error when the current time of day is set. Resolve this by initialising the RTC after the kernel timer has been initialised. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk@arm.linux.org.uk>
* Linux-2.6.12-rc2v2.6.12-rc2Linus Torvalds2005-04-16
Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
