* | [ARM] Add a common typesafe __io implementationRussell King2008-11-30
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | As Al did for Versatile in 2ad4f86b60b649fd7428265c08d73a3bd360c81b, add a typesafe __io implementation for platforms to use. Convert platforms to use this new simple typesafe implementation. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* | [ARM] Hide ISA DMA API when ISA_DMA_API is unsetRussell King2008-11-29
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | When ISA_DMA_API is unset, we're not implementing the ISA DMA API, so there's no point in publishing the prototypes via asm/dma.h, nor including the machine dependent parts of that API. This allows us to remove a lot of mach/dma.h files which don't contain any useful code. Unfortunately though, some platforms put their own private non-ISA definitions into mach/dma.h, so we leave these behind and fix the appropriate #include statments. * | [ARM] remove a common set of __virt_to_bus definitionsNicolas Pitre2008-11-28
|/ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Let's provide an overridable default instead of having every machine class define __virt_to_bus and __bus_to_virt to the same thing. What most platforms are using is bus_addr == phys_addr so such is the default. One exception is ebsa110 which has no DMA what so ever, so the actual definition is not important except only for proper compilation. Also added a comment about the special footbridge bus translation. Let's also remove comments alluding to set_dma_addr which is not (and should not) be commonly used. | | * [ARM] 5293/1: ep93xx: add defines for external chipselectsHartley Sweeten2008-10-07
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch adds defines for the external chipselect physical base addresses available with the EP93xx. These are meant to be used in the platform init code. In addition, documentation about the synchronous/asynchronous boot modes for the EP93xx and a reference to errata about issues with synchronous booting has been added. | | * [ARM] 5273/2: ep93xx: move ethernet support into core.cHartley Sweeten2008-10-04
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | All EP93xx based systems can support Ethernet. This patch moves the platform_device setup from the various board support files into the core support file. The Ethernet driver data still remains in the individual platform setup files to allow specific platform configuration. This also adds Ethernet support to the edb9302, edb9312, and edb9315 platforms. | | * [ARM] 5276/1: ep93xx: allow selecting UART for early kernel messagesHartley Sweeten2008-10-03
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Currently on the EP93xx platform early kernel messages go to UART1. Since this UART is the only one that has modem control signals it might be used for another purpose and it is undesirable for those messages to appear. This patch allows one of the other UARTs to be selected in the kernel configuration. It is assumed that the bootloader has configured and initialized the UART since this was the previous assumption. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | In the GPIOLIB support for EP93xx ports C anf F are swapped. This patch correct it. Signed-off-by: H Hartley Sweeten <hsweeten@visionengravers.com> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
| | * [ARM] 5242/1: ep93xx: bugfix, GPIO port F enable register offsetHartley Sweeten2008-09-07
| |/ |/| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The GPIO port F enable register offset points to the wrong register, 0x5c is the IntStsF register. The correct offset is 0x58. This patch corrects it. | | * [ARM] 4670/1: ep93xx: implement IRQT_BOTHEDGE gpio irq sense typeHerbert Valerio Riedel2008-01-26
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Having a both-edge sensitive irq trigger type is required for the generic gpio-keys input driver; alas the ep93xx does not support both-edge gpio triggers in hardware, so this patch implements them by switching edge polarity on each triggered interrupt. This is the same approach as taken by the Orion SoC both-edge gpio irq support implementation. * Initial blind fixup for arm for irq changesLinus Torvalds2006-10-06
| | | | | | | Untested, but this should fix up the bulk of the totally mechanical issues, and should make the actual detail fixing easier. Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>

* [PATCH] ARM: fixup irqflags breakage after ARM genirq mergeThomas Gleixner2006-07-02
| | | | | | | | | | The irgflags consolidation did conflict with the ARM to generic IRQ conversion and was not applied for ARM. Fix it up. Use the new IRQF_ constants and remove the SA_INTERRUPT define Signed-off-by: Thomas Gleixner <tglx@linutronix.de> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>

| * [ARM] 3706/2: ep93xx: add cirrus logic edb9315a supportLennert Buytenhek2006-07-01
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Patch from Lennert Buytenhek This patch adds support for the Cirrus Logic EDB9315A, an evaluation board based on the Cirrus Logic EP9315 SoC, with 64M RAM, two USB host ports, audio in/out, three serial ports, 10/100 ethernet, and IDE, VGA, and LCD interfaces. The EDB9315A is a low-cost version of the EDB9315, and has only 16M of NOR flash, while the EDB9315 has 32M.
