* Initial blind fixup for arm for irq changesLinus Torvalds2006-10-06
| | | | | | | Untested, but this should fix up the bulk of the totally mechanical issues, and should make the actual detail fixing easier. Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
* [PATCH] atmel_serial: Pass fixed register mappings through platform_dataHaavard Skinnemoen2006-10-04
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | In order to initialize the serial console early, the atmel_serial driver had to do a hack where it compared the physical address of the port with an address known to be permanently mapped, and used it as a virtual address. This got around the limitation that ioremap() isn't always available when the console is being initalized. This patch removes that hack and replaces it with a new "regs" field in struct atmel_uart_data that the board-specific code can initialize to a fixed virtual mapping for platform devices where this is possible. It also initializes the DBGU's regs field with the address the driver used to check against. On AVR32, the "regs" field is initialized from the physical base address when this it can be accessed through a permanently 1:1 mapped segment, i.e. the P4 segment. If regs is NULL, the console initialization is delayed until the "real" driver is up and running and ioremap() can be used. * [ARM] 3870/1: AT91: Start removing static memory mappingsAndrew Victor2006-09-28
| | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch removes the static memory mapping for the currently-unused peripherals [Synchronous Serial, Timer/Counter unit], and for those drivers that already ioremap() their registers [UART]. Also, the Ethernet driver now uses the platform_device resources but doesn't yet use ioremap() so we need to pass it the virtual address instead of the physical address. * [ARM] 3739/1: genirq updates: irq_chip, add and use irq_chip.nameDavid Brownell2006-08-01
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Patch from David Brownell ARM genirq cleanups/updates: - Start switching platforms to newer APIs * use "irq_chip" name, not "irqchip" * providing irq_chip.name - Show irq_chip.name in /proc/interrupts, like on x86. This update a bit more than half of the ARM code. The irq_chip.name values were chosen to match docs (if I have them) or be otherwise obvious ("FPGA", "CPLD", or matching the code). Signed-off-by: David Brownell <dbrownell@users.sourceforge.net> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] 3711/1: AT91 timer updateAndrew Victor2006-07-05
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Patch from Andrew Victor The AIC interrupt controller is the same on the Atmel AT91RM9200, AT91SAM9261 and AT91SAM9260 processors. This patch removes any RM9200-specific naming from the IRQ driver, and moves the AT91RM9200's default IRQ priority table into at91rm9200.c. * [ARM] 3605/1: AT91RM9200 Power ManagementAndrew Victor2006-06-20
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Patch from Andrew Victor This patch adds the core Power Management support for the AT91RM9200 processor. It will support suspend-to-RAM and standby modes. The suspend-to-RAM functionality is not 100% complete. The code that needs to be execute from the internal SRAM to restore the system is outstanding. For now we just fall through to Standby mode. The AT91-specific at91_suspend_entering_slow_clock() function will eventually be replaced by clk_must_disable() once that functionality is added to mainline clock API. Patch from David Brownell. * Fix AT91RM9200 build breakageDavid Brownell2006-04-14
| | | | | | | | | | | | | The at91_cf driver got out of sync with certain changes in the PCMCIA layer, notably getting rid of some duplication of data ... causing the version merged to kernel.org to fail compiling. This patch gives the at91_cf platform device a new iomem resource, using it so this new pcmcia scheme works. It also cleans up some whitepsace bugs that have accumulated over time (mostly too-long lines). * [ARM] 3386/1: AT91RM9200 Clock updateAndrew Victor2006-03-22
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Patch from Andrew Victor This patch includes a few changes to the clock support on the AT91RM9200. 1. Added definitions for Ethernet, MMC, TWI, USARTs, and SPI peripheral clocks. 2. Replaced some hard-coded hex values with the text definitions in at91rm9200_sys.h. 3. If the USB96M bit is set for PLLB, then the rate of PLLB is not affected but only the USB Host/Device clocks which are derived from it. Issue reported by Sergei Sharonov. * [ARM] 3384/1: AT91RM9200: TimerAndrew Victor2006-03-22
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Patch from Andrew Victor If the timer interrupt is ever significantly delayed (or after the system was suspended), the system could spin incrementing the time for too long. The fix is to replace the "do {} while" with a "while {}". Orignal patch by Savin Zlobec and Peter Menzebach. * [ARM] Rename chipdata to 'base' and make it an iomem pointerRussell King2006-03-21
| | | | | | | | In all current use cases, "chipdata" is used to store an iomem address. Mark it with __iomem, and rename it to 'base'. Leave the accessor macros alone. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] 3348/1: Disable GPIO interruptsAndrew Victor2006-02-24
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Patch from Andrew Victor disable_irq() lazily disables the interrupt, so the IRQ is only disabled once the interrupt occurs again. The GPIO interrupt handler therefore must first check disable_depth to see if the IRQ needs to be disabled. Orignal patch by Bill Gatliff. * [ARM] 3325/2: GPIO function to control multi-drive (open collector) capabilityAndrew Victor2006-02-22
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Patch from Andrew Victor This patch adds the at91_set_multi_drive() function to enable/disable the multi-drive (open collector) pin capability on the AT91RM9200 processor. This is necessary to fix the UDC (USB Gadget) driver for the AT91RM9200 board as it will not allow the board reset line to be pulled low if the pullup is not driven as an open collector output as the boards are wired to the USB connector on both the DK/EK. This version of the patch updates it to 2.6.16-rc4. Orignal patch by Jeff Warren. Signed-off-by: Andrew Victor <andrew@sanpeople.com> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
