As most defconfig have them enabled by default, enable them as well in bcm2835_defconfig. The first support SoC family that is planned is the BCM281XX (BCM11130/11140/11351/28145/28155) family of dual A9 mobile SoC cores. This code is just the skeleton code for get the machine upstreamed. It has been made MULTIPLATFORM compatible. Next steps ---------- Upstream a basic set of drivers - sufficient for a console boot to ramdisk. These will includer timer, gpio, i2c drivers. After this basic set, we will proceed with a more comprehensive set of drivers for the 281XX SoC family. v2 patch mods -------- - Remove l2x0_of_init call as there were problems with the code. A separate patch will be submitted with cache init code - Rename capri files and refs to bcm281xx-based names - Add bcm281xx binding doc - various misc cleanups v3 patch mods ------------- - Remove extra #include lines - Remove remaining references to capri - dt uart chipset string added - cleaned up chip # references v4 patch mods ------------- - swap order of compatible definitions for uart - fix typo v5 patch mods ------------- - Rename bcm281xx to bcm11351 in dts+code, leaving references to bcm281xx only in help+comments. v6 patch mods ------------- - fix typo in uart 'compatible' string Signed-off-by: Christian Daudt <csd@broadcom.com> Reviewed-by: Stephen Warren <swarren@nvidia.com> Signed-off-by: Olof Johansson <olof@lixom.net>

Both imx_v4_v5_defconfig and imx_v6_v7_defconfig get updated to adopt the changes. AUTO_ZRELADDR and ARM_PATCH_PHYS_VIRT are selected by ARCH_MXC now to save the duplication. Lots of USB host driver cleanups in here, and a bit of a reorg of the EHCI driver to make it easier for the different EHCI platform drivers to all work together nicer, which was a reduction in overall code. We also deleted some unused firmware files, and got rid of the very old file_storage usb gadget driver that had been broken for a long time. This means we ended up removing way more code than added, always a nice thing to see: 310 files changed, 3028 insertions(+), 10754 deletions(-) Other than that, the usual set of new device ids, driver fixes, gadget driver and controller updates and the like. All of these have been in the linux-next tree for a number of weeks. The NCM gadget got an endianness fix and the Ethernet gadget a frame size fix. We're finally removing the g_file_storage gadget and sticking to g_mass_storage and the new tcm_usb_gadget gadgets since that was a huge duplicaton of effort anyway. While removing g_file_storage, we also had to fix a bunch of defconfigs which were still pointing to the old gadget. There's a big series getting us closer to being able to introduce our configfs interface. The series converts functions into loadable modules which will, eventually, be registered to the configfs interface. Other than that there's the usual typo fixes and miscelaneous cleanups all over the place."

It's likely to be a useful option for everyone. * PWM * PWM_TEGRA Enable the new PWM subsystem, and the Tegra driver within it. * GPIO_PCA953X * GPIO_PCA953X_IRQ * MFD_MAX8907 * REGULATOR_MAX8907 * RTC_DRV_MAX8907 * RTC_DRV_TPS65910 Various drivers required for the Whistler board. * RTC_INTF_SYSFS * RTC_INTF_PROC * RTC_INTF_DEV Some RTC options that Kconfig help implies should typically be enabled. * Wifi chip (rt3070) * Bluetooth (btusb) * Camera (uvcvideo) * 3G modem (acm and wdm) * rfkill * GPIO LEDs * NVEC Various devices and features found on PAZ00 boards. Some of these are enabled as modules because they are not needed for boot and will not be used on other boards. Wifi also needs to be module because of the firmware loader.
