| | | | | * | mlx4_en: Add driver for Mellanox ConnectX 10GbE NICYevgeny Petrilin2008-10-22
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The Mellanox ConnectX can operate as an InfiniBand adapter, as an Ethernet NIC, or as a Fibre Channel (FC) HBA. The kernel has a low-level driver, mlx4_core, which handles multiplexing access to the device, and there is also already an InfiniBad driver, mlx4_ib. This patch adds a new driver, mlx4_en, which implements a standard Ethernet NIC driver. | | | | | * | mlx4_core: Multiple port type supportYevgeny Petrilin2008-10-22
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Multi-protocol adapters support different port types. Each consumer of mlx4_core queries for supported port types; in particular mlx4_ib can no longer assume that all physical ports belong to it. Port type is configured through a sysfs interface. When the type of a port is changed, all mlx4 interfaces are unregistered, and then registered again with the new port types. | | | | | * | mlx4_core: Support multiple pre-reserved QP regionsYevgeny Petrilin2008-10-22
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | For ethernet support, we need to reserve QPs for the ethernet and fibre channel driver. The QPs are reserved at the end of the QP table. (This way we assure that they are aligned to their size) We need to consider these reserved ranges in bitmap creation, so we extend the mlx4 bitmap utility functions to allow reserved ranges at both the bottom and the top of the range. This will be used for RSS support in the mlx4_en Ethernet driver and also potentially by IPoIB RSS support. | | | |/ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | ipoib_ib_dev_stop() does del_timer_sync(&priv->poll_timer), but if a P_key for an interface is not found, poll_timer is not initialized, so this leads to a crash or hang. Fix this by moving where poll_timer is initialized to ipoib_ib_dev_init(), which is always called. This fixes <https://bugs.openfabrics.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1172>. | | * | IB/ehca: Reject dynamic memory add/remove when ehca adapter is presentStefan Roscher2008-10-22
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Since the ehca device driver does not support dynamic memory add and remove operations, the driver must explicitly reject such requests in order to prevent unpredictable behaviors related to existing memory regions that cover all of memory being used by InfiniBand protocols in the kernel. The solution (for now at least) is to add a memory notifier to the ehca device driver and if a request for dynamic memory add or remove comes in, ehca will always reject it. The user can add or remove memory by hot-removing the ehca adapter, performing the memory operation, and then hot-adding the ehca adapter back. | | * | IB/ehca: Fix reported max number of QPs and CQs in systems with >1 adapterStefan Roscher2008-10-22
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Because ehca adapters can differ in the maximum number of QPs and CQs we have to save the maximum number of these ressources per adapter and not globally per ehca driver. This fix introduces 2 new members to the shca structure to store the maximum value for QPs and CQs per adapter. The module parameters are now used as initial values for those variables. If a user selects an invalid number of CQs or QPs we don't print an error any longer, instead we will inform the user with a warning and set the values to the respective maximum supported by the HW. |/ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | In case of error, the function ucma_alloc_multicast() returns a NULL pointer, but never returns an ERR pointer. So after a call to this function, an IS_ERR test should be replaced by a NULL test. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch adds a random number generator interface as well as a cryptographic pseudo-random number generator based on AES. It is meant to be used in cases where a deterministic CPRNG is required. One of the first applications will be as an input in the IPsec IV generation process. | * crypto: cryptomgr - Test ciphers using ECBHerbert Xu2008-08-29
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | As it is we only test ciphers when combined with a mode. That means users that do not invoke a mode of operations may get an untested cipher. This patch tests all ciphers using the ECB mode so that simple cipher users such as ansi-cprng are also protected. Signed-off-by: Herbert Xu <herbert@gondor.apana.org.au>
| * crypto: api - Use test infrastructureHerbert Xu2008-08-29

| * crypto: cryptomgr - Add test infrastructureHerbert Xu2008-08-29
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch moves the newly created alg_test infrastructure into cryptomgr. This shall allow us to use it for testing at algorithm registrations. Signed-off-by: Herbert Xu <herbert@gondor.apana.org.au>
| * crypto: tcrypt - Add alg_test interfaceHerbert Xu2008-08-29
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch creates a new interface algorithm testing. A test can be requested for a particular implementation of an algorithm. This is achieved by taking both the name of the algorithm and that of the implementation. The all-inclusive test has also been rewritten to no longer require a duplicate listing of all algorithms with tests. In that process a number of missing tests have also been discovered and rectified. Signed-off-by: Herbert Xu <herbert@gondor.apana.org.au>
| * crypto: tcrypt - Abort and only log if there is an errorHerbert Xu2008-08-29
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The info printed is a complete waste of space when there is no error since it doesn't tell us anything that we don't already know. If there is an error, we can also be more verbose. In case that there is an error, this patch also aborts the test and returns the error to the caller. In future this will be used to algorithms at registration time. Signed-off-by: Herbert Xu <herbert@gondor.apana.org.au>
| * crypto: crc32c - Use Intel CRC32 instructionAustin Zhang2008-08-29
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | From NHM processor onward, Intel processors can support hardware accelerated CRC32c algorithm with the new CRC32 instruction in SSE 4.2 instruction set. The patch detects the availability of the feature, and chooses the most proper way to calculate CRC32c checksum. Byte code instructions are used for compiler compatibility. No MMX / XMM registers is involved in the implementation. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | If tcrypt is to be used as a run-time integrity test, it needs to be more resilient in a hostile environment. For a start allocating 32K of physically contiguous memory is definitely out. This patch teaches it to use separate pages instead. Signed-off-by: Herbert Xu <herbert@gondor.apana.org.au>
| * crypto: api - Display larval objects properlyHerbert Xu2008-08-29
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Rather than displaying larval objects as real objects, this patch makes them show up under /proc/crypto as of type larval. Signed-off-by: Herbert Xu <herbert@gondor.apana.org.au>
| * crypto: api - Export crypto_alg_lookup instead of __crypto_alg_lookupHerbert Xu2008-08-29
