| * [MIPS] Increase cp0 compare clockevent min_delta_ns from 0x30 to 0x300.Ralf Baechle2007-10-16
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Extremly low values are of dubious usefulness anyway but in this case they actually were killing Qemu which simply wasn't able to complete mips_next_event() within 0x30 100MHz cycles even on fast hosts. Signed-off-by: Ralf Baechle <ralf@linux-mips.org>
| * [MIPS] Cache: Provide more information on cache policy on bootup.Ralf Baechle2007-10-16
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | This should help making bug reports for the gadzillion of cores with all their configuration and synthesis options more useful. Signed-off-by: Ralf Baechle <ralf@linux-mips.org>
| * [MIPS] Fix aliasing bug in copy_user_highpage, take 2.Ralf Baechle2007-10-16
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Turns out b868868ae0f7272228c95cc760338ffe35bb739d wasn't quite right. When called for a page that isn't marked dirty it would artificially create an alias instead of doing the obvious thing and access the page via KSEG0. The same issue also exists in copy_to_user_page and copy_from_user_page which was causing the machine to die under rare circumstances for example when running ps if the BUG_ON() assertion added by the earlier fix was getting triggered. Signed-off-by: Ralf Baechle <ralf@linux-mips.org>
| * [MIPS] VPE loader: convert from struct class_ device to struct deviceKay Sievers2007-10-16

| * [MIPS] MIPSsim: Fix booting from NFS rootThiemo Seufer2007-10-16
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | MIPSsim probably doesn't have any sort of environment, but writing a zero in it kills even the compiled in command line. This prevents booting via NFS root. Signed-Off-By: Thiemo Seufer <ths@networkno.de> Signed-off-by: Ralf Baechle <ralf@linux-mips.org>

| * [MIPS] Alchemy: Get rid of au_ffz().Ralf Baechle2007-10-16

| * [MIPS] Alchemy: Get rid of au_ffs().Ralf Baechle2007-10-16

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The original MPU-401 does not send an ACK byte after processing the ENTER_UART command, so we better do not try to wait for it. Many clones get this wrong and do send an ACK, but when interpreting it as MIDI, it is just a harmless Active Sensing message, and it is likely to be read and discarded by the interrupt handler before the MIDI input device is triggered. | * | [ALSA] hda-codec - Fix Gateway laptops with STAC9200Takashi Iwai2007-10-16
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Fix the output of Gateway laptops with STAC9200 codec chip. They require the EAPD control for some pins. These pins shouldn't be powered down. To enable EAPD control, a new model 'gateway' was added to STAC9200. The known PCI SSIDs are included in the quirk list. The fix was originally suggested by Brian Hinz, in ALSA bug#2948. Signed-off-by: Takashi Iwai <tiwai@suse.de> Signed-off-by: Jaroslav Kysela <perex@suse.cz>

| * | [ALSA] sound: snd_register_device_for_dev fixMariusz Kozlowski2007-10-16
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | snd_register_device_for_dev() can oops when device_create() returns ERR_PTR(err). Scenario: preg->dev = device_create(...); /* fails */ if (preg->dev) /* contains ERR_PTR(err) */ dev_set_drvdata(preg->dev, private_data); and dev_set_drvdata() looks like this: static inline void dev_set_drvdata (struct device *dev, void *data) { dev->driver_data = data; <--- boom } This patch should prevent that.
