[WIRELESS]: Refactor wireless Kconfig.
This patch refactors the wireless Kconfig all over and already introduces net/wireless/Kconfig with just the WEXT bit for now, the cfg80211 patch will add to that as well. 15 Saying Y here also enables the Wireless Extensions (creates
16 /proc/net/wireless and enables iwconfig access). The Wireless
17 Extension is a generic API allowing a driver to expose to the user
18 space configuration and statistics specific to common Wireless LANs.
19 The beauty of it is that a single set of tool can support all the
20 variations of Wireless LANs, regardless of their type (as long as
21 the driver supports Wireless Extension). Another advantage is that
22 these parameters may be changed on the fly without restarting the
23 driver (or Linux). If you wish to use Wireless Extensions with
24 wireless PCMCIA (PC-) cards, you need to say Y here; you can fetch
25 the tools from

1config WIRELESS_EXT
2 bool "Wireless extensions"
3 default n
4 ---help---
5 This option enables the legacy wireless extensions
6 (wireless network interface configuration via ioctls.)
7

9 will be required only by legacy drivers that implement
10 wireless extension handlers.
11
12 Say N (if you can) unless you know you need wireless
13 extensions for external modules.
14
15config NET_WIRELESS_RTNETLINK
16 bool "Wireless Extension API over RtNetlink"
17 depends on WIRELESS_EXT
18 ---help---
19 Support the Wireless Extension API over the RtNetlink socket
20 in addition to the traditional ioctl interface (selected above).
21
