* V4L/DVB (4104): Default "yes", no. default y, yes.Trent Piepho2006-06-25
| | | | | | | | The Kernel config programs expect 'default y' and don't understand 'default "yes"'. Signed-off-by: Trent Piepho <xyzzy@speakeasy.org> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@infradead.org>

* V4L/DVB (4090): Fix cinergyt2_poll() to allow non-blocking IO on frontendDyks, Axel (XL)2006-06-25
| | | | | | | | | | | cinergyt2_poll()" shouldn't return (POLLIN | POLLRDNORM | POLLPRI) when there are no pending events. User space programs that do non-bocking IO using "select()" and/or "poll()" would otherwise produce high system load. * V4L/DVB (3762): Add sysfs device links to dvb devicesAndrew de Quincey2006-06-25
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Currently in /sys/class/dvb/dvbX.demuxY/ we have: dev uevent With the patch, we have (for a PCI DVB device): dev device -> ../../../devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1e.0/0000:03:0d.0 uevent So userspace tools can (finally) work out which physical device a DVB adapter refers to. Previously you had to kinda look through dmesg and hope that it hadn't been dumped out of the buffer. This makes debugging a lot easier if the system has been up for a long time! This is done by adding an extra 'struct device *' parameter to dvb_register_adapter(). It will work with any kind of standard linux 'device'. Additionally, if someone has an embedded system which does things differently, they can simply supply 'NULL' and the behaviour will be as before - the link will simply not appear. * V4L/DVB (3743): Fix some more potential oopsesAndrew de Quincey2006-05-12
| | | | | | | | Spotted a couple more places where it fails to check if dvb_register_adapter() fails. Signed-off-by: Andrew de Quincey <adq_dvb@lidskialf.net> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@infradead.org>
* V4L/DVB (3506): Cinergy T2 dmx cleanup on disconnectMarkus Rechberger2006-03-21
| | | | | | | | Detaching the device didn't clean up several device files in /dev/dvb, after applying that patch all dvb devices disappeared as expected. Signed-off-by: Markus Rechberger <mrechberger@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@infradead.org>
* V4L/DVB (3318b): sem2mutex: drivers/media/, #2Ingo Molnar2006-02-07
| | | | | | | | | | | Semaphore to mutex conversion. The conversion was generated via scripts, and the result was validated automatically via a script as well. * V4L/DVB (3129): correct FE_READ_UNCORRECTED_BLOCKSStephen Williams2006-01-09
| | | | | | | | | | - Make FE_READ_UNCORRECTED_BLOCKS reset the count after each call, thus returning a momentary value like all other demods do, instead of an absolute, ever increasing count. * kbuild: un-stringnify KBUILD_MODNAMESam Ravnborg2006-01-06
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Now when kbuild passes KBUILD_MODNAME with "" do not __stringify it when used. Remove __stringnify for all users. This also fixes the output of: $ ls -l /sys/module/ drwxr-xr-x 4 root root 0 2006-01-05 14:24 pcmcia drwxr-xr-x 4 root root 0 2006-01-05 14:24 pcmcia_core drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 0 2006-01-05 14:24 "processor" drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 0 2006-01-05 14:24 "psmouse" The quoting of the module names will be gone again. Thanks to GregKH + Kay Sievers for reproting this. Signed-off-by: Sam Ravnborg <sam@ravnborg.org>

* [PATCH] swsusp: switch pm_message_t to structPavel Machek2005-09-05
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | This adds type-checking to pm_message_t, so that people can't confuse it with int or u32. It also allows us to fix "disk yoyo" during suspend (disk spinning down/up/down). [We've tried that before; since that cpufreq problems were fixed and I've tried make allyes config and fixed resulting damage.] Signed-off-by: Pavel Machek <pavel@suse.cz> Signed-off-by: Alexander Nyberg <alexn@telia.com> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@osdl.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>

* Linux-2.6.12-rc2Linus Torvalds2005-04-16
Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
