* drivers/ata: use resource_sizeJulia Lawall2009-09-11
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Use the function resource_size, which reduces the chance of introducing off-by-one errors in calculating the resource size. The semantic patch that makes this change is as follows: (http://www.emn.fr/x-info/coccinelle/) // <smpl> @@ struct resource *res; @@ - (res->end - res->start) + 1 + resource_size(res) // </smpl> Signed-off-by: Julia Lawall <julia@diku.dk> Cc: Jeff Garzik <jeff@garzik.org> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@linux-foundation.org> Signed-off-by: Jeff Garzik <jgarzik@redhat.com>

* libata: remove superfluous NULL pointer checksBartlomiej Zolnierkiewicz2009-07-28
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | host->ports[] always contain pointers to valid port structures since a "dummy port" structure is used in case if there is no physical port. This patch takes care of two entries from Dan's list: drivers/ata/sata_sil.c +535 sil_interrupt(13) warning: variable derefenced before check 'ap' drivers/ata/sata_mv.c +2517 mv_unexpected_intr(6) warning: variable derefenced before check 'ap' and of another needless NULL pointer check in pata_octeon_cf.c. * libata: New driver for OCTEON SOC Compact Flash interface (v7).David Daney2009-01-16
Cavium OCTEON processor support was recently merged, so now we have this CF driver for your consideration. Most OCTEON variants have *no* DMA or interrupt support on the CF interface so for these, only PIO is supported. Although if DMA is available, we do take advantage of it.
