* [POWERPC] mpc5200: Allow for fixed speed MII configurationsGrant Likely2008-05-01
| | | | | | | | | | | Various improvements for configuring the MPC5200 MII link from the device tree: * Look for 'current-speed' property for fixed speed MII links * Look for 'fsl,7-wire-mode' property for boards using the 7 wire mode * move definition of private data structure out of the header file Signed-off-by: Grant Likely <grant.likely@secretlab.ca> Acked-by: Wolfgang Grandegger <wg@grandegger.com>
* [POWERPC] mpc5200: add gpiolib support for mpc5200s.hauer@pengutronix.de2008-04-29
| | | | | | | This patch adds gpiolib support for mpc5200 SOCs. Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de> Signed-off-by: Grant Likely <grant.likely@secretlab.ca>
* [POWERPC] Update device tree binding for mpc5200 gptMarian Balakowicz2007-10-21
| | | | | | | | | | Add 'fsl,' prefix to 'compatible' property for gpt nodes. Add 'fsl,' prefix to empty, GPT0 specific 'has-wdt' property. The fsl, prefix is being added to better match the convention of prefixing manufacturer specific properties and values with the vendors name. * typo fixesMatt LaPlante2007-10-19
| | | | | | | | | | | | Most of these fixes were already submitted for old kernel versions, and were approved, but for some reason they never made it into the releases. Because this is a consolidation of a couple old missed patches, it touches both Kconfigs and documentation texts. * [POWERPC] mpc5200 device tree bindings refinementGrant Likely2007-02-12
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Much needed refinement of mpc5200 device tree binding specifications. Short list: - drop mpc52xx designator; only two supported chips exist, 5200 and 5200b. It's premature to refer to them as '52xx'. - Specify optional 'model' and 'revision' properties in the soc5200 node - Specify reqiured 'cell-index' property to identify between multiple SOC devices of the same type. (Useful for arbitrating shared register access) - Specify optional 'port-number' property for adjusting the logical serial port assignments. - Specify optional 'has-wdt' property for gpt0 node. - Add system-frequency property to soc5200 node Signed-off-by: Grant Likely <grant.likely@secretlab.ca> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
* [POWERPC] Make it blatantly clear; mpc5200 device tree is not yet stableGrant Likely2007-01-22
| | | | | | | | | Documentation-only change. The 5200 device tree layout has not yet stablized, so nobody should depend on the layout of the tree. Signed-off-by: Grant Likely <grant.likely@secretlab.ca> Acked-by: Sylvain Munaut <tnt@246tNt.com> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
* [POWERPC] Fix mpc52xx fdt to use correct device_type for sound devicesGrant Likely2007-01-09
| | | | | | | | | | This corrects the documented interface for mpc52xx device trees. Sound devices should be using 'sound' for the device_type field, not the type of sound interface. * [POWERPC] Document describing mpc52xx device tree binding conventionsGrant Likely2006-12-04
This document describes the device tree expectations for mpc52xx based boards. Signed-off-by: Grant Likely <grant.likely@secretlab.ca> Acked-by: Sylvain Munaut <tnt@246tNt.com> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
