* | | ARM: ux500: use real AB8500 IRQ numbers instead of virtual onesLee Jones2013-02-10
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Any devices wishing to use the AB8500's GPIO IRQs were forced to request virtual IRQs from the gpio-ab8500 driver. Now that responsibility has been passed back to the AB8500 core driver, devices can request real IRQ numbers instead. This patch removes any traces of the old virtual IRQ conversion handlers, which will force any drivers requesting IRQs to use real IRQS. * | | ARM: ux500: remove irq_base property from platform_dataLee Jones2013-02-10
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | AB8500 GPIO no longer handles its GPIO IRQs. Instead, the AB8500 core driver has taken back the responsibility. Prior to this happening, the AB8500 GPIO driver provided a set of virtual IRQs which were used as a pass-through. These virtual IRQs had a base of MOP500_AB8500_VIR_GPIO_IRQ_BASE, which was passed though pdata. We don't need to do this anymore, so we're pulling out the property from the structure. As this moves the last file being compiled to an object out of arch/arm/plat-nomadik, we have to "turn off the light" and delete the plat-nomadik directory, because it is not allowed to have an empty Makefile in a plat-* directory. This is probably also a desired side effect of depopulating the arch/arm directory of drivers. Luckily we have just deleted all the <plat/*> include files prior to this so by moving the last one we may delete the directory. After this all the Ux500 and Nomadik device drivers live outside of the arch/arm hierarchy. | * | | ARM: ux500: Rename dbx500 cpufreq code to be more genericLee Jones2012-11-27
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The cpufreq driver doesn't only handle the db8500 anymore. There are new variants which rely on it too, so we've renamed the driver to be more generic. Acked-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Lee Jones <lee.jones@linaro.org>

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The Device Tree machine description for the ux5x0 was moved recently and as a consequence missed the addition of SMP operations. | * | | ARM: ux500: List DT compatibility using platform names rather than by boardLee Jones2012-11-01
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | So far, each ST-Ericsson board supported by Device Tree has been similar enough to run though a single DT_MACHINE_INIT call. On the back of that it has been suggested that we should reduce the number of compatible strings in our dt_compat structure. After subsequent discussion with Arnd Bergmann the conclusion was to list entries by platform as opposed to by board. The other suggestion was to use a single string which would cover all supported platforms, but any wildcard entries would include unsupported chipsets, such as the u5500 and potential new chips which no not yet have DT functionality. Hence, the best solution which encompasses all supported platforms, but no unsupported ones was to list the currently enabled four chipsets; u8500, u8540, u9500 and u9540 instead. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | 'st-ericsson,u8500' is too much of a broad name to be used for any of the supported development boards supported by ST-Ericsson.
